Elise Gilbert

Elise Gilbert, a distinguished alumna of the University of Arkansas with degrees in Studio Art and Art Education. She is an accomplished multi-disciplinary artist living in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She currently works with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County as a Program Coordinator where one of her areas of focus is to create the curriculum and lead instruction of weekly art classes at the Walton County Boys and Girls Clubs for ages K-12 as well as summer Creative Kids Camps.

Beyond her role in education, Elise is passionate about learning and is always finding new sources of inspiration through experimenting with different mediums and topics of wonderment. Much of her work surrounds the theme of the interdependent relationship between nature and humans and the mysterious aspects of our natural world.

The Underwater Museum of Art is a permanent sculpture park located in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico off Grayton Beach State Park, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The museum’s exhibits lie within a mile of the shore at a depth of ~58 feet.
