Gianna Stewart

Gianna Stewart is an artist with a passion for public art. Her permanent works can be found in the Pawtucket/ Central Falls Commuter Rail Station, outside of Worcester City Hall, in the new Hale Building at Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Underwater Museum of Art as part of an artificial reef in the Gulf of Mexico. Previously, Iceberg floated in the Fort Point Channel in Boston. She has created site-specific temporary outdoor works for the Hudson Street Stoop in Boston’s Chinatown, the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston, the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA, 8Nights8Windows in downtown Boston, ReCreation on the Boston Harbor Islands, and shown above in the studio, Magical Amass, 122 colorful cast plastic tents hung in a skylight at the Nashville Airport. Gianna Stewart received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/ Tufts University.

The Underwater Museum of Art is a permanent sculpture park located in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico off Grayton Beach State Park, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The museum’s exhibits lie within a mile of the shore at a depth of ~58 feet.
