Janetta Napp

Janetta Napp is an artist aiming to depict the unseen, making visible the moving energy, and changing complexity of biological forms while including qualities of the human existence through drawings, sculptures, videos, and paintings.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Janetta’s fascination of the natural world originates from these islands. Her journey as an artist began at the University of Hawaii, and then she moved to Germany to complete her BFA and MFA at the University of Art Braunschweig. Her accomplished professional career has led to an extensive list of international exhibitions. In 2011, Janetta returned to Oahu and continues combining structured systems to her organic visual vocabulary.

The Underwater Museum of Art is a permanent sculpture park located in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico off Grayton Beach State Park, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The museum’s exhibits lie within a mile of the shore at a depth of ~58 feet.
