Katie Witherspoon

From an early age, I have always been surrounded with the love of art. Art was always a focal point in our very large household, and we even had an arts and crafts station just for creating. That love of art stayed with me and I first started my jewelry line, K Witherspoon Collection back in Asheville, North Carolina in 2010. Since then, I have done numerous craft shows all over the East Coast.

My sister and I both took our love of art and creating unique spaces and turned it into a thriving business called East West Vintage Rentals in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC. In 2015, I decided to leave the mountains and explore an unknown area which led me to the beautiful beaches of Walton County. Leaving my creative scene behind, I immediately plugged in with the Cultural Arts Alliance and found my artists haven.

Since then, my artistic endeavors have developed over the years. My proudest accomplishment is having been chosen with the Underwater Museum of Art to create my underwater sculpture called Bee Grayt. This concrete sculpture that is over 8 feet tall is deployed in our beautiful waters in Grayton Beach, Florida and is a dive site which can be explored with over 40+ sculptures.
