Sean Coffey

Sean Coffey is an artist living and working in the Memphis area of Tennessee. He is the owner and operator of The Coffey Shop, a full-time creative studio that specializes in mural painting, fine arts production, furniture design, sculpture, and interactive space design. His work uses a variety of unique techniques that complement one another to blur the borders between realism and abstraction, pulling inspiration from many themes to illuminate aspects of daily life and how they contribute to the larger narrative of what it means to be human.

He moved to Pittsburgh from Chambersburg, PA in 2005 at the age of 18 to attend school and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design. Afterwards, he worked for seven years as an architectural design engineer before opening his full-time art studio, The Coffey Shop, in 2012. He recently moved his studio to Memphis, Tennessee in October of 2023.
